Endrick is considering leaving Real Madrid at the end of the current season due to a lack of playing time. Despite being a footballer with a good goal-scoring ability, he has played very little. This situation has led several clubs to take an interest in him for a possible loan.
Endrick and his frustration at the lack of opportunities
Endrick arrived at Real Madrid’s offices with the aim of securing a place in the squad, but the reality has been different. The Real Madrid striker has only played 401 minutes in 23 games this season, making him one of the players Carlo Ancelotti has used the least. Only Jesús Vallejo and David Alaba (due to injury) have played less than him.
Although he is not part of the starting eleven, his numbers are interesting. Endrick scores every 80 minutes, making him one of the most effective players in the squad. However, his good performances have not been enough for Ancelotti to give him a more significant role in the team.
The Brazilian chose to stay during the winter transfer window in the hope of getting more opportunities, but this has not changed. GRADA3 has been able to confirm from his entourage that he is considering the possibility of a transfer in the summer.
Endrick’s possible destinations
Although Real Madrid are not considering selling the player, one of the options being studied is a possible loan. The club’s intention is for the striker to gain experience and continuity at another club before returning better prepared.
In the last transfer window, Southampton showed clear interest in signing him, and like the Bianconeri, Real Valladolid and Tottenham have also expressed interest. Another team that has been persistently inquiring is Getafe, as José Bordalás would welcome the addition of the player to his squad.
In any case, the final decision will not be made until June. Endrick and his agents will continue to evaluate the best option for his progression.
Marseille tried to sign Endrick in the winter transfer window
One of the clubs that insisted on signing Brazilian striker Endrick during the winter transfer window was Olympique de Marseille. According to French media outlets L’Équipe and RMC Sport, the French club did not hesitate to contact Real Madrid and the player’s entourage regarding the possibility of a loan, but the response was negative.
Marseille’s sporting director, Medhi Benatia, believed that Endrick could be an attacking solution for the club after striker Elye Wahi left Marseille to play for Eintracht Frankfurt. However, neither the player nor the Madrid club reached an agreement at the time.
In the end, Olympique de Marseille signed Amine Gouiri from Stade Rennes for a reported 19 million euros, although their attempt to sign Endrick highlights the great interest the Brazilian continues to generate in the European market.
The situation could change in the summer, both because Real Madrid may decide to loan him out to give him more playing time and because the coach of the Whites may change. If Xabi Alonso ends up taking charge, his decision will be key in determining whether Endrick stays in Madrid or looks for playing time elsewhere.
