The eternal promise of Real Madrid, the player who is always expected to step up but, on the other hand, is not given the opportunities, has a name and it is Arda Güler. However, his potential and the level shown in his few opportunities have aroused the interest of the continent’s elite clubs, while the Whites are confident of his development within or outside the team. Various clubs are interested in signing him to offer him playing time and a chance to shine, something he has not managed to achieve under Carlo Ancelotti.

Questioned by his teammates

In addition to his lack of playing time, he does not seem to get on well with his teammates on the pitch, as was clear in the last game in which he played. Last Saturday against Villarreal at La Cerámica, a game that Real Madrid won, Arda Güler came on in the 83rd minute with the difficult task of containing an opponent who was committed to attack. He left the field with only 9 touches of the ball, with 4 out of 6 successful passes (67%), one shot that went out for a throw-in and 2 losses of the ball.

In addition to his numbers, he was berated by his teammates during the game. In one particular move, Arda Güler decided to shoot on goal, sending the ball directly wide when several of his teammates, mainly Mbappé, were waiting for the Turkish player to pass. In view of this situation, Mbappé’s recrimination was evident and continued even when the ball was back in play. He was not the only one to get angry, there were also signs of discontent from Bellingham and Vinicius JR.

A future with many unknowns

The Whites’ player has a contract in force until 2029, but that is no guarantee that he will continue to wear the white shirt. And the fact is that his departure, whether by transfer or loan, looks increasingly likely. Real Madrid have not lost confidence in the player, but they are aware that the lack of playing time is a hindrance to his progress. A loan would be optimal for the player’s development, although it cannot be ruled out that, in the event of an interesting offer, he could be sold.

In recent weeks there has been talk of strong interest from the Bundesliga. Specifically Eintracht Frankfurt, who are third in the table, are one of the teams bidding most intensively for the Real Madrid player and have even thought of a formula for his signing. The German club is determined to negotiate with the league and European champions to get the green light for the loan of the playmaker.

Likewise, Real Sociedad has also wanted to secure the services of the talented young Güler, which would be a perfect fit for the player himself, as he is no stranger to Spanish culture or the dynamics of LaLiga. The move to the Basque side would be in the form of a loan, so that the club would have the option of keeping him in the long term.

Two new suitors

Arda Güler, with Brahim Díaz in great form and the presence of other attackers such as Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham, is hardly in the spotlight. Even so, in terms of numbers (28 games, 3 goals and 5 assists) he is having a better season than last. In addition to those already mentioned, two new candidates from Serie A have recently emerged as potential suitors: Inter and AC Milan.

Aware that at the age of 20 his progress could be very interesting, the two Milanese teams are ready to do battle with the new season in mind.
