On Thursday, FC Barcelona overcame the fatigue of their internationals and consolidated their lead in LaLiga EA Sports after defeating Osasuna (3-0), with goals from Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo – from a penalty – and Robert Lewandowski, in the match that was postponed on March 8th due to the death of FC Barcelona doctor Carles Miñarro.

A win that confirms the great form of the Barça team. FC Barcelona continues unstoppable in 2025 and the numbers speak for themselves. Eight consecutive victories in La Liga, 19 matches unbeaten so far this year, over 130 goals scored and the sole leaders.

A win that also had a downside. Dani Olmo came off due to muscle problems in the abductor of his right leg. Barça has made official the extent of the player’s injury, as well as his estimated time out of action: “Tests carried out this morning have shown that first team player 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗢𝗹𝗺𝗼 has a myofascial injury in the adductor of his right leg”. “The recovery time will be approximately three weeks”.

According to this prognosis and the deadlines released by the club’s own statement, the aim would be to have Dani Olmo available as a footballer for a hypothetical Champions League semi-final scheduled for the end of April.

According to the estimated time off work by the club, Olmo would miss up to six official matches, three in the league, two in the Champions League and one in the cup:

  • Sunday, March 30 (League): Barça-Girona (4:15 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, April 2 (Cup): At. Madrid-Barça (21:30)
  • Saturday, April 5 (League): Barça-Betis (21:00)
  • Wednesday, April 9 (Champions): Barça-Dortmund (21:00)
  • Saturday, April 12 (League): Leganés-Barça (21:00)
  • Tuesday April 15 (Champions): Dortmund-Barça (9 p.m.)

The return to competition would take place in the league match scheduled for April 19 against Celta de Vigo, but Barça is confident that they can set deadlines for the player to be available in this decisive part of the competition.

The Spanish international is suffering his third injury of the season, thus preventing him from playing regularly on his return to Barcelona. He has already missed 13 games through injury this season.
