Hansi Flick‘s FC Barcelona is on a 23-game unbeaten streak and well positioned to win the treble. In LaLiga they increased their lead over Real Madrid to four points, they are already in the final of the Copa del Rey and in the Champions League they took a key step on Wednesday on the road to the final in Munich by beating Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in Montjuic.
Flick has had a huge impact on Barça. Including the Champions League match, Barça have gone 23 games unbeaten, making it the best start to the year in their history. They have not been beaten in any competition in 2025.
So far this year, Flick’s Barça have recorded 19 victories and four draws, surpassing the records set by Luis Enrique’s men nine years ago (19 victories, three draws). This year, only Atalanta in the Champions League (2-2), Getafe in La Liga (1-1), Atlético de Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final (4-4) and Betis in La Liga (1-1) have been able to avoid defeat against the Barça.
The Catalan team maintains its incredible run of results and has remained unbeaten since December 21st (1-2 against Atlético de Madrid), with a balance of 19 victories and 4 draws in which the team has scored 71 goals (3.08 per game), conceding only 21 (0.91 per game).
By competition, in 2025 the Barça team had gone 11 games unbeaten in La Liga, 5 games unbeaten in the Champions League, 5 games unbeaten in the Copa del Rey and 2 in the Spanish Super Cup.
The next milestones to be reached
Hansi Flick’s 23 consecutive games without defeat is a great run, but he still has higher milestones to reach with the Azulgrana. For the moment, the best one is still held by Luis Enrique, who went on to string together 39 consecutive games without defeat in the 2015/16 season. They are followed by Ernesto Valverde (29 matches in 2017/18), Josep Guardiola (28 matches in 2010/11), Marinus Michels (27 matches in 1973/74), Frank Rijkaard (24 matches in 2005/06). The latter could equalize tonight against Leganés.
Going for the goal scoring record
Another of Flick’s Barça challenges is to beat the club’s goal scoring record. The record for goals scored by FC Barcelona in a season in all competitions stands at 190, achieved in the 2011-12 season, with Pep Guardiola in the dugout. At the moment the Catalans are on a whopping 145 goals.
