FC Barcelona win by the minimum against CD Leganés at Butarque on matchday 31 of LaLiga.

Not even a lacklustre FC Barcelona lose

A lacklustre version of the team managed by Hansi Flick has established a distance at the top of the competition of seven points over their closest pursuer, Real Madrid.

Of course, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will have to play this Sunday from 16:15 in Mendizorroza against Deportivo Alavés.

With the victory, FC Barcelona remains in the lead and, pending what Real Madrid does tomorrow against Alavés, is seven points ahead of the Whites. Leganés, for its part, remains in relegation with 28 points.

FC Barcelona came out very strongly with the idea of scoring a quick goal so that the game wouldn’t get away from them. Lamine Yamal and Raphinha acted like two daggers down the wings looking for Lewandowski, who was very much alone in attack despite Fermín’s efforts to link up play. The Pole tried his luck with a free kick near the edge of the area that went over the crossbar and with that the intense first minutes for the Catalans came to an end.

Leganés, with a disallowed goal, made things difficult for Hansi Flick’s men

The game had moments of uncertainty and both Leganés and FC Barcelona were comfortable with it, although clearly this rhythm suited the pepinero team better. The azulgrana team was suffering, but curiously enough they had the next chance through Koundé, who tried his luck from a distance and his shot almost became a poisoned one when it touched a defender. Dmitrovic was attentive and avoided it.

Lewandowski, before being substituted for Ferran at the same time as Fermín for Gavi, missed with a header across the goal. And Lamine could not surprise Dmitrovic with no angle.

The final blow did not come and Leganés pressed, even Raba scored, but it was offside.

Borja already gambled on the entry in the 75th minute of two forwards such as Munir and Diego García, who shot wide alone in front of Szczesny in his first intervention after a great cross from Juan Cuz. The game became dirty in the final stretch without Barça knowing how to take advantage of the spaces already left by a Leganés who at times thought of the draw although, this time, without luck.
