The center-back operation doesn’t end with Dean Huijsen: these are the two players Real Madrid is closely monitoring

No more bets. The phrase heard in casinos to end the hesitation of gamblers and allow the croupier to spin the wheel has become common usage to indicate that something is coming to an end. Therefore, no more bets at Real Madrid. The season is making it clear that a cycle has ended and a complete overhaul is needed, from the bench to the squad. If the same thing is done, the result will be the same, so it is time for a change.

Right now, almost no one considers themselves indispensable at Real Madrid, which is well aware that making changes and bringing in new blood will involve making painful decisions and taking advantage of any lucrative offers to let go of players who have been important to the team in recent seasons.

There are players who have been on the chopping block for months and have the exit door open, such as Lucas Vázquez, Alaba, and Fran García. The Galician full-back is one of the players who will almost certainly leave Real Madrid next season. His statements after the match suggested that he is the first to accept that he will not continue next season with a simple “thank you for everything.”

Another player who had to start against Arsenal due to an emergency, or because of Ancelotti’s determination, was Alaba. The left-back is unable to regain his competitive rhythm, yet Ancelotti chose him over Fran García again, despite his poor performance in the first leg. The player’s contract expires next season and it has already been decided that it will not be renewed, so a move away could be on the cards.

Fran García has had two years to prove himself at a club like Real Madrid, but he has been far from acceptable. He has girlfriends and his sale could be finalized this summer.

Painful sales

Beyond the inevitable departures of underperforming or expendable players, Florentino could consider selling some of his stars for millions to shake up the squad. The main candidates for this painful sale would be Camavinga and Rodrygo, as they are the two players who are attracting the most interest in the market.

Manchester City has set its sights on Eduardo Camavinga to shore up its midfield for next season. Eduardo Camavinga is one of the most promising and attractive players in the impressive European market, and several of the giants of soccer are looking to sign him. Among the main suitors are Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich.

Rodrygo Goes continues to attract suitors looking to lure him away from Real Madrid, all of them from the Premier League, and the latest club to join the bidding war for the Brazilian is Chelsea, which is reportedly preparing a €100 million offer. After interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool (the latter seems to be pulling out after Salah’s renewal), it is now the London club that is considering making an offer to the club and the player that could see him move on next season.

Both players could even leave for a three-figure sum, which would make Florentino consider allowing the sale and reinvesting that money in the four signings that the Whites want to make in the next transfer window: full-backs, a center back, and a midfielder.
