Barcelona is expecting a very busy transfer window: all the deals Deco wants to close

“I can stay at Madrid or I can leave. This is something to be decided in the coming weeks, not today,” were Ancelotti’s words after the Cup final when asked about his future. The truth is that whenever the time comes to discuss the matter, everyone knows that Florentino’s decision has already been made and it is only a matter of time before it is officially announced.

Carlo Ancelotti is doomed, according to many media outlets after the defeat in the Cup final. “According to various sources, another reason for Diego Fernandes’ trip to Seville this weekend is to try to convince Ancelotti to join Brazil as soon as possible,” reports Relevo.

In fact, as soon as the match ended and defeat in the final was confirmed, many reports suggested that the Italian coach’s future was very close to being resolved. “Diego Fernandes, the emissary of the Brazilian Football Federation who has been acting as an intermediary with the Italian coach in recent months, is in Seville to meet with the coach again and try to finalize the deal, which has two possible start dates: in May or after June 30,” reports Relevo.

Barring a dramatic turn of events, the Italian will not continue at Real Madrid and will sign for the five-time world champions, but the question is when? A few days ago, Sky Sports claimed that the Italian coach had decided to leave Real Madrid once the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona had been played. It would be a somewhat radical decision that would leave the Whites without a coach for the final stretch of the league and the Club World Cup.

However, everything seems to indicate that the Italian coach will finish the regular league season with the team and that is when he will leave the bench. Ancelotti will not coach Real Madrid for the Club World Cup. The first team will be taken over by an interim coach, Raúl or Solari, who will also be in charge of coaching the team during the Club World Cup.

The arrival of the new coach

The arrival of the new coach, in principle Xabi Alonso, although Jurgen Klopp cannot be ruled out, would be after Real Madrid officially concludes its participation in the Club World Cup, although he is expected to start work earlier to plan the next season for the white team.
