Barça has had an outstanding season with some great players, but also with a B team that has performed perfectly, making it possible to win three titles in a dream 2025. Barcelona ended the year under scrutiny after losing to Atlético, but from January onwards, it has been a different story. They started the year by winning the Super Cup with a thrashing of Real Madrid, a Real Madrid side they came back against in spectacular fashion in La Liga and beat in the Copa del Rey final. The only blemish on their record is the end of their Champions League dream in the semi-finals against Inter Milan.

These victories and titles are a reward for the teamwork of Hansi Flick’s men. Although the German coach has a very recognizable starting eleven, in times of difficulty and injuries he has pulled out Plan B and saved the day on many occasions. Players such as Fermín, Eric García, and Ferran Torres have been key in achieving each and every one of this season’s successes.

Among those names are Ansu Fati, Christensen, Pablo Torre, Héctor Fort, and Pau Víctor, who was in the spotlight in the summer alongside Dani Olmo for his registration in LaLiga. He has barely played 300 minutes throughout the season as a Barça player, which is why the forward wants a change of scenery at the end of the season.

Pau Víctor wants a change of scenery

The situation seems dire for a player who is still young, 23 years old, who wants to enjoy minutes to grow and who knows that he has suitors who already wanted to sign him in the summer. In this regard, the player and his representatives will want a meeting with the club at the end of the season to make decisions. In principle, the striker has decided that, aware that he has many players ahead of him in Flick’s plans for the starting eleven, the best thing to do is to move on at the end of the season, taking advantage of the fact that his registration is not guaranteed.

Although the striker has shown commitment and quality when called upon, and his low salary does not represent a problem for the team’s wage bill, Barça would open the door for him as the numbers speak for themselves and the player has scored zero goals in the 327 minutes out of a possible 5,130 that he has played. The striker is aware that at the moment he cannot compete with the goals of Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres or even Dani Olmo, who can also play as a false 9.

A lucrative suitor on the horizon

According to information from the German newspaper SPORT, Bayer Leverkusen is closely following Pau Víctor’s situation. No concrete offer has been made yet, nor have there been any talks, but the German club is considering the option of bringing the striker into its new sporting project, now that Xabi Alonso is no longer at the helm. At the moment, the German club has not yet confirmed his successor.

Last summer, he attracted interest from LaLiga clubs such as Real Betis, Celta, and Mallorca, but it seems that his talent has crossed borders and his future could lie in the Bundesliga. What the player is clear about is that he will not leave unless he is promised a more prominent role than he currently has at Barcelona.
