Clear-out operation needed at Barcelona: The list of players who can leave this summer

Pau Víctor was in the spotlight last summer along with Dani Olmo due to a registration that required a precautionary measure. It seems like too much effort for a player who has since been ‘rejected’ by Hansi Flick. He has barely played 300 minutes throughout the entire season and has not scored a single goal. It is an extreme situation that seems to have fed up the player, who has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, pointing to a change of scenery.

Although the striker has shown commitment and quality when called upon, and his low salary does not represent a problem for the team’s wage bill, Barça would open the door to a player who is still young, 23, who wants to enjoy minutes to grow and who knows that he has suitors who already wanted to sign him in the summer.

At the presentation of the friendly matches between the men’s and women’s teams of Catalonia against Costa Rica and Paraguay, the striker spoke about his future, without going into details, but sending a clear message about his current situation.

“Players are ambitious, we always want more. I haven’t thought about the future yet, we have a very important game in Bilbao that we want to win. Then we’ll talk to the club and come to the decision we have to come to. But we haven’t thought about anything yet and I’m very focused on the present,” said Pau Víctor.

Despite his lack of playing time, the player has enjoyed the celebrations at Barça as one of the team, celebrating a season full of titles. “They have been very intense days, with a somewhat long celebration, but I would even extend it a little longer. The parade was spectacular, there were a lot of people and I’m grateful because they’ve been there all year, through the good times and the bad. Now all this is for them too, and seeing them enjoy it like this is amazing,” he acknowledged. The player has attracted interest from LaLiga teams such as Real Betis, Celta, and Mallorca, but in recent days Sport has revealed XXL interest in the player.

Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly monitoring Pau Víctor’s situation closely. There have been no talks or formal offers yet, but the German club is considering signing the young player, something Barça would not stand in the way of as long as a good offer is made. What Pau Víctor is clear about is that if he is not promised playing time and a prominent role, he will not leave Barcelona and will wait for his chance in Hansi Flick’s starting eleven.
