Barcelona wants to replicate the Yamal formula. The club already has two new options

Unlike their eternal rivals, Real Madrid, who are in the midst of a transition period, Barcelona are in great form, so no major changes are expected during the summer transfer window. The current squad has performed at a high level throughout the season, so it is more of a priority for the Azulgrana to secure renewals than to think about signings. In recent days, the deals for Flick and Raphinha have been finalized, and intensive work is underway on Lamine Yamal, with progress also being made with De Jong, Eric García, and Iñigo Martínez, among others.

The team’s good season was evaluated by the sporting director, who said a few days ago that the key is to maintain the current structure. “We have already renewed most of the squad, now we have to take care of those who are here. Last year I said we couldn’t lose anyone. I think it’s the same now. If we can improve, it’s always possible, but the key is to keep what we have consolidated for the coming years,” he explained.

He also outlined the main lines to follow in the transfer market. “Suddenly we feel very dependent on Raphinha and Lamine. Maybe we need similar players, a solution for them. The squad is quite balanced and we also have a lot of good things at the base,” said the sporting director.

The main objective in the transfer market

The objective for the transfer market is therefore to sign players for the attack to strengthen it even more and, as the sporting director said, to reduce the dependence on Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. However, on the other hand, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to dethrone them and take their place, or that anyone on Barça’s agenda will agree to sign for a secondary role in the team.

In this regard, Liverpool player Luis Díaz has been the favorite in recent months, but signing the Colombian is too complicated a deal. Marcus Rashford has also been mentioned as an option, and the player has made it very clear that he wants to join Barça. He is currently on loan from Manchester United to Aston Villa, where he will not continue, and the Reds have put him on the market. The player has made it clear that he is willing to take a considerable pay cut in order to play at the Camp Nou.

Two new names on the agenda

According to information from Gol, Barça has added two new names to its list of potential wingers. With the main problem with the candidates that have emerged being their price, Barça has now set its sights on two more affordable targets, both from the same team, Monaco. We are talking about Eliesse Ben Seghir, 20, and Magnes Akliouche, 23.

Ben Seghir is right-footed but plays as a left winger. Barça’s interest in the player is not new. The young winger is making a name for himself in Ligue 1 and attracting interest from half of Europe. He has also already expressed his preference for Barça. “In football, my role model is Neymar. I love his freedom and style of play,” he confessed.

“I grew up watching Barça. Their style of play has always fascinated me.”

For his part, Magnes Akliouche plays on the opposite wing and stands out for his ball skills, dribbling, and vision. Like his teammate, he has also publicly stated that he would not mind playing for FC Barcelona. “My favorite league is the Spanish league because of its style of play. Besides Monaco, I would like to play for Barcelona.”
