Pau Víctor’s future up in the air: Barcelona open the door as a LaLiga club shows interest

Xabi Alonso is now officially Real Madrid’s head coach: here’s his salary and how much the signing cost

Being part of a great team like Real Madrid or FC Barcelona in LaLiga is no easy task. Competition for every position in the starting eleven is fierce, and as a young player it is even more difficult to find a place among the ‘galácticos’. This is true even at Barça, which has always advocated promoting players from La Masía.

La Masía has played a major role this year under Hansi Flick, but this has not been the case for everyone. Hansi Flick has left several of the younger players in the squad who have not played even 500 minutes this season out in the cold. This is the case of Ansu Fati, who is already in an untenable situation at Barça and is finalizing his move to Monaco.

The same goes for Pablo Torre, who is highly regarded and has a promising future, but who has no place in the overbooked midfield. Something similar is happening to Pau Víctor, who needed a precautionary measure to be registered, but whose role has been non-existent this season at Barcelona.

Pau Víctor considers his future

At just 23 years of age, Pau Víctor is at the beginning of his career and wants to enjoy playing time to grow, something he knows he will not have at Barça. A few days ago, it was reported that he had a meeting with Hansi Flick to make a decision about his future, which would be attended by his representatives. In principle, the striker has decided that, aware that he has many players ahead of him in Flick’s plans for the starting eleven, the best thing to do is to move on at the end of the season.

In recent statements, Pau Víctor himself was ambitious about the playing time he wants in the future, which would take him away from Barcelona. “Players are ambitious, we always want more. I haven’t thought about the future yet, we have a very important game in Bilbao, which we want to win. Then we’ll talk to the club and come to the decision we have to come to. But we haven’t thought about anything yet and I’m very focused on the present,” Pau Víctor said about his future at the club.

Leverkusen monitoring the situation

According to information from the German newspaper SPORT, Bayer Leverkusen is closely monitoring the young striker’s situation given the uncertainty surrounding his future. No concrete offer has been made yet, nor have there been any talks, but the German club is considering the option of bringing the striker into its new sporting project led by Erik Ten Hag, who took charge yesterday. With the departure of Xabi Alonso and several other important players, the German club will have to undergo a major restructuring, which could be a good fit for the young player with a bright future ahead of him.

Valencia joins the bidding

They would not be the only ones, as a new suitor has emerged in La Liga, and it is not Real Betis, who already wanted him last summer. In the last few hours, the name of Valencia has come up in the equation. According to ‘Relevo’, the Catalan striker is very close to becoming Valencia’s first signing for next season. The last few seasons have been difficult for the Che, who have been flirting with the bottom of the table, and the signing of a young, hungry player with an eye for goal seems key to their interests. Pau Víctor and Valencia want more, and together they could form the perfect partnership to achieve that goal.
