Xabi Alonso remains set on signing a striker: a new summer option emerges

Real Madrid has the difficult task of finding a midfielder to fill the void left by Kroos last season and now by the departure of Luka Modric. The two midfielders, along with Casemiro, formed one of the best midfields in soccer history, but that is now history, and the club is looking for players who can fill their shoes. Angelo Stiller, the German midfielder from VfB Stuttgart, is one of the players on the list and his arrival could be feasible.

Problems in midfield

Real Madrid has shown problems in midfield during the season, with little connection between defense and attack. Xabi Alonso has the important and complicated task of getting the midfield back on track, restoring the solidity and reliability required of a big team that wants to fight for all the titles. The problems in midfield are growing with the departure of Luka Modric once the Club World Cup is over, so the club will have to look to the market for a player to complement a midfield that already has players with power and stature, but needs quality.

Angelo Stiller and Real Madrid

Angelo Stiller, a German midfielder for VfB Stuttgart, is establishing himself in the Bundesliga and the German national team, and is one of the alternatives being considered by the Real Madrid management. They are looking for the new German Toni Kroos, and, with all due respect, Stiller is a player who fits the profile.

He does not have the quality and positioning of the Real Madrid legend, but he knows how to find space on the pitch to control the ball unopposed and thread passes through, both high and low. He is faster and recovers a lot of balls, and although he does not get involved in attack much, when he does, he is a real threat.

English football has already set its sights on him, Liverpool to be more precise. He could be heading for the Premier League, but Real Madrid’s interest could make him reconsider, as it is an opportunity that almost no one wants to miss out on.

Nico Paz takes the lead

However, his signing has become complicated in the last few hours. The confirmation of Modric‘s departure has opened the door wide for the return of Nico Paz.

Although their positions are not incompatible, the return of the youth player could mean that the other deal is put on hold. Nico Paz has a more offensive style, but he can play in more defensive positions and fits in well with Xabi Alonso’s football philosophy, with a classy and offensive midfield that can finish off plays. Zubimendi is still a possibilityAnd Real Madrid still has the option of Martín Zubimendi.

Although the player is in advanced negotiations with Arsenal, the deal is not closed, and the arrival of Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid could change everything. The coach wants the player, and Martín wants to play under Xabi Alonso. It would be a deal worth €60 million, but Real Madrid could perhaps reduce the price by offering a player in exchange, as they are not convinced about such an outlay.

Angelo Stiller remains on Real Madrid’s list of players for next season, but the arrival of Nico Paz and the possible purchase of Zubimendi could rule out the young German footballer. Difficult days are expected, as Real Madrid is in a hurry to sign as many players as possible so that they can compete in the Club World Cup.
