“They say I’m boring…”: Oscar Piastri, the F1 discovery who started racing in Alonso’s karts

Succeeding at Real Madrid is no easy task. Despite this season’s poor performance, only Asencio has managed to secure a place in the first team from among the youth players who have been training under Carlo Ancelotti. It is a powerful and talented generation, but competition is fierce with big names leaving little room for opportunities. That is why it is inevitable for some of the youth players to look for an alternative to gain experience, as they have reached their ceiling in the reserve team.

The World Cup opportunity

It is true that with the plague of injuries at the end of the season, many had their chance in LaLiga, but they were only a few minutes of playing time that some, such as Jacobo Ramón, took advantage of to become heroes, but for the majority they went unnoticed. With the arrival of Xabi Alonso, it is hoped that the youth team will have more opportunities. In fact, it is known that several of them will be present for the first training session on Monday and will then travel to the World Cup.

Specifically, Jacobo Ramón, Gonzalo, Chema, Víctor Muñoz, Diego Aguado, and Jesús Fortea are the ones chosen to travel to the United States hoping to get a chance in the Club World Cup. Given the injuries that the team is still dealing with, and considering that many international players will arrive just in time to travel with the team and will have only a couple of training sessions with the new coach, it is not out of the question that some of them may be called upon.

It will be a golden opportunity to show the club and the coach that they can play in the first team, as Real Madrid is traveling to the FIFA tournament with the firm intention of bringing home the title. These will therefore be extremely demanding matches for several of those whose future is up in the air to secure their place. The fact is that the Whites have ruled out the possibility of several players leaving, either through a transfer with a buy-back option or a loan without an option to buy, so that they can gain experience with quality minutes.

Borussia wants Diego Aguado

One of those players with great potential who has attracted interest in the market is Diego Aguado. At just 18 years old and with only a couple of appearances for the first team, he has caught the eye of the Bundesliga. Specifically, MARCA reports that Borussia Dortmund has already contacted Real Madrid to inquire about signing the player.

The aforementioned source goes even further and even says that the German club would be willing to offer up to $6 million to sign the player, who recently renewed his contract until 2029. For now, everything is on hold until, as we said, the Club World Cup is over, which will serve as a test to define the future of the promising player: either they commit to him or they look for a way out. If they opt for the second option, the aforementioned media outlet reports that an Italian team is also interested in the defender, who can play as a center back or left back.
