Franco Mastantuono, Real Madrid’s latest signing, has become one of the biggest attractions of this Club World Cup. With his arrival at the club scheduled for August 15, those who want to see how the young Argentine performs on the pitch have a great opportunity to do so that night with River Plate, and it will be one of the few days to do so, as the second and third games of the group will be played at 3:00 a.m. Spanish time.

Franco Mastantuono, new Real Madrid player

Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of the young Argentine gem, Franco Mastantuono, a 17-year-old River Plate player who will arrive in the Spanish capital on August 15, one day after his 18th birthday. Until then, we will have to wait to see him in white, but tonight, for all those who do not yet know the player or have not seen him play, you can see him on the pitch with River Plate in the Club World Cup.

Florentino Pérez has rarely been seen so determined, paying a total of $63 million for the new Argentine gem to ensure that he would not change his mind or be snapped up by another team. Although the player and the team wanted to keep him until January so that he could play the entire Copa Libertadores, Real Madrid’s strength has been unstoppable, the Argentine club has been unable to do anything to keep him and, as expected, neither has the player, knowing that he could not refuse to sign for the white team, nor did he want to.

At just 17 years of age, Franco Mastantuono has become one of River Plate’s leading players. His play, his self-confidence, and his poise on the pitch have earned him a place in the Argentine team’s starting lineup. He has become the youngest player in the club’s history to score his first goal. He was also the youngest player to score a goal against their eternal rivals, Boca Juniors, and the youngest player to score a goal in the Copa Libertadores. In Argentina’s latest squad announcement for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, he received his first call-up from Lionel Scaloni.

They will face one of Japan’s strongest teams, the Urawa Reds, who earned their ticket to the Club World Cup after winning the AFC Champions League (Asian Football Confederation) in 2022.

Here’s how to watch River Plate vs. Urawa Reds and see Franco Mastantuono live in action. The match is available to stream for free via the DAZN app on Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, streaming devices, and game consoles — no subscription required.
