Real Madrid has begun to make moves in the transfer market, prioritizing departures for the moment. While the arrival of Álvaro Carreras is being finalized and will be made official in the coming hours, the Whites have already made their first moves in the transfer window with youth players and discards, but more important decisions are expected, although those will be simmering on the back burner.

Two departures confirmed

The chapter on departures opened on Friday for Real Madrid, which made two official announcements in just a few minutes. The departure of Víctor Muñoz and Rafael Obrador leaves the Whites with €10 million in their coffers. In the case of the former, he has had some playing time with the first team at the end of this season, which, although minimal, has served as a showcase for him to end up at Osasuna, who have set a release clause of €40 million for him.

On the other hand, the left-back, who was on loan at Deportivo in LaLiga Hypermotion, is heading to Benfica to replace Álvaro Carreras, who is about to arrive at the Santiago Bernabéu. His departure comes after a €5 million transfer following a year in which he played a leading role at Riazor, taking a step forward in his career.

Open door at Real Madrid

As for Real Madrid Castilla, more departures are expected. Málaga has shown a lot of interest in signing former Champions League talisman Jeremy León. In addition, Borja Alonso is of interest to Betis B and goalkeeper Piñeiro is heading to Granada. Yusi already has an agreement with Deportivo Alavés, while Jacobo Ramón is reportedly in negotiations with Italian side Como. In addition to these ongoing deals, the departures of Mario de Luis (Atlético Madrileño), Andrés Campos, and Marvel (Leganés) have already been confirmed.

As far as the first team is concerned, several players could leave this summer. There is the issue of the left back, with Álvaro Carreras arriving and opening the door for Fran García or Mendy to leave. Initially, everything pointed to the former, but during the World Cup, the former Rayo Vallecano player has been gaining ground. In defense, Alaba’s departure cannot be ruled out. It is the club’s wish, but the Austrian is holding on to his contract.

In midfield, the lack of playing time for Dani Ceballos opens up the possibility of a sale. Although the player’s priority was to leave for his beloved Real Betis, the club has already publicly ruled him out for this summer. In attack, the door is open for both Rodrygo, who is increasingly likely to sign a lucrative deal with Arsenal, and Endrick, who could be loaned out to gain more playing time, but the young Brazilian wants to earn his place in the Real Madrid squad.

A discard with many suitors

Another deal in the works is the case of Álvaro Rodríguez, who has finished his loan spell at Getafe, where he scored two goals in 28 games. Of those, 26 were in the domestic competition, where he scored both goals against Valladolid and Espanyol. The player arrived at the Coliseum at the last minute and was delayed in making his debut due to an injury he had been carrying from his time at Castilla. With a contract in place until 2027, a permanent exit is being sought.

The option being considered by Real Madrid is a transfer with a buy-back clause similar to the one retained in the case of Nico Paz. One of the options is for the player to continue at the Coliseum, but according to Mundo Deportivo, he is considering options such as Elche, Levante, Rayo Vallecano, or Alavés, and could even leave Spain to play elsewhere.
