Real Madrid continues to prepare for the start of La Liga (Tuesday, August 19, against Osasuna) with great energy, intensity, and hard work at Valdebebas. The players returned to the Spanish capital just a few days ago, on August 4, when they underwent the usual medical examinations and tests carried out at the start of each season: cardiac tests, stress tests, foot tests, elasticity tests, urine and blood tests… There are many more, and all of them are monitored for the functional aspects of the human body, as the club told us firsthand.
Fede Valverde spoke about what a typical day is like at Real Madrid City in an exclusive interview with the club’s official television channel, Real Madrid TV. “I’m very happy, as always. I’m proud to be back for another season, wearing this shirt and defending this badge. I’m just as excited as I am every year to win all the titles,” said the Uruguayan.
“All my teammates have shown that they’ve worked hard during the break. That’s always good for avoiding injuries and being in better shape when the season starts. We’re very happy to be back in training,” said one of Real Madrid‘s captains about how he sees the team.
Pre-season is one of the keys to Real Madrid’s success each season, and that is why Valverde wanted to give it the importance it deserves. “We have to make the most of every training session, every morning or afternoon we have to train. We know it’s our fuel,” he said.
As for the work done in recent weeks, Fede explained exactly what the team is working on: “A lot of tactics, above all. We’re working a lot on pressing, staying together, passing the ball around a lot and getting to know each other better. New players have arrived. We have to be more united when it comes to attacking and defending,“ said the former Peñarol player.
Finally, on the subject of the captaincy, the Real Madrid midfielder said he was very happy about it. ”I’m proud to wear this shirt again and to be one of the captains. It’s the ground that any kid has when they love soccer and start playing the sport. Today, I’m wearing it and enjoying it with my family. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I’m one of the leaders of this team, but the important thing is to enjoy every moment as if it were the last,” he concluded.
