The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a major recall involving over 67,000 units of a popular deodorant brand.

According to an enforcement report published by FDA, the manufacturer, A.P. Deauville, recalled three products: “power fresh”-scented Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant (21,265 cases), “spring fresh”-scented Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant (22,482 cases), and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant (23,467 cases). This decision to recall the affected products was was made on July 10, 2025.

Why the Products Were Recalled

These products were recalled because they failed to comply with FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations. These FDA regulations ensure that products are safe for human consumption, contain the claimed ingredients, and satisfy their intended use without risking consumer health.

It is important to note that the report did not indicate any health hazard, or ingredient issues. It also did not mention any contamination risk or bacteria. The FDA only mentioned that the products failed to meet the required manufacturing practice standards.
