Real Madrid has to put aside the euphoria of qualifying for the last sixteen of the Champions League and focus on other goals on the horizon. The most immediate is the weekend game against Girona in which they will try to regain the lead. Just a few days later comes the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Real Sociedad and, in between, they will find out their path to the final in Munich where they will try to win their sixteenth title.
A busy schedule in which, moreover, Real Madrid has to plan for a future in which there are many unknowns in the air that could mark the future of the club. The Whites have several open fronts such as the signing of Arnold, the search for reinforcements for the defense, the possible departure of Vinicius to Saudi Arabia, the continuity of several players with few minutes or the future of Ancelotti on the bench.
Ancelotti’s uncertain future at Real Madrid
The continuity of Carlo Ancelotti as coach of Real Madrid seems to be more in doubt than ever. He is the most successful coach in the history of Real Madrid, but that is not enough for a club that seeks excellence and only looks to the future with the aim of winning titles. The coach still has a year left on his contract, but everything indicates that whatever happens, the manager could leave at the end of the season. The only option for him to change his mind would be if Florentino Pérez expressly asked him to do so, something which, for the moment, does not seem to have happened, as sources close to the club have told Grada3.
The names to fill his position keep coming up. The favorite has been and is Xabi Alonso. The Bayer Leverkusen coach is one of the revelation coaches of recent years. Last season he only lost one game in the whole campaign (the Europa League final). He likes his tactical and colorful game, and his knowledge of the house. In the last few hours the name of Iraola has also emerged. The coach has become one of the most promising managers in the Premier League, where he has managed to put his stamp on Bournemouth and his way of seeing the game.
The player Ancelotti doesn’t like, Arda Güler
Arda Güler arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. During his first season in white, injuries and strong competition greatly complicated his involvement in the game. In fact, he did not make his official debut in a white shirt until January 2024 in the Copa del Rey.
This year there are no injuries, and, similarly, there is less competition than last year. And even so, Arda Güler is the sixth player with the fewest minutes of play in the squad, only ahead of Lunin, Alaba, Endrick, Vallejo, and Dani Carvajal who, despite being injured for four months, has played practically the same number of minutes as Güler, giving rise to a situation in which the Turkish player has once again been relegated to a residual role in which he counts for little or nothing to Carletto.
Arda Güler could be loaned out at the end of the season
Arda Güler has had enough and his lack of playing time has pushed him to the limit. A situation that has led him to consider leaving on loan in the summer in search of opportunities. This was reported by Eduardo Inda on El Chiringuito de Jugones. “Arda Güler is a huge player who arrived as the great promise of Turkish football and has told Real Madrid that if he continues in this situation of playing little, he wants to leave next year. I don’t know if on loan or transferred, but he doesn’t want to continue, especially if Ancelotti continues as manager. His relationship with Ancelotti is not the best in the world,” revealed the director of OKDIARIO.
