In recent seasons, Real Madrid has made a clear commitment to rejuvenating the squad, but this commitment has not always been successful, not so much due to a lack of talent, but because of the high level of competition in certain areas of the white pitch that does not allow young players to gain prominence.

This is the case of Arda Güler. The player has never really become important in the white squad, but in this week’s break he has once again been a protagonist with Turkey and continues to accumulate suitors.

An untapped starting role

This Saturday in the match against CD Leganés, Arda returned to the starting line-up with Real Madrid. A starting role in which his numbers are not bad, but they have not really exploded, in addition to showing a certain disconnection with his teammates. The Turk won a penalty (which Mbappé converted to open the scoring), three duels (out of three attempted, 100% effectiveness), created five chances, two of which were key, had 61 touches with 93% effectiveness (43 out of 46 crosses) when it came to passing the ball, was fouled twice and only intercepted the ball once.

Güler not giving up on Real Madrid

Arda Güler has once again been in the spotlight during the international break with Turkey. In the last game he scored again, making it clear that if he is given confidence he can perform. In the last few hours, the footballer has given an interview to ‘MARCA’ in which he has talked about Real Madrid and his future.

He was asked if he was happy at Real Madrid as sometimes he didn’t even warm up on the sidelines. Arda Güler only thinks about succeeding at Real Madrid. “Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it. I am sure that I will succeed at Madrid, I have even bought a house in Madrid. I work very hard and I am always ready to play, as you saw in this match against Hungary,” he said.

Arda Güler also responded to the question about his future as there has been talk of a possible loan. “I love the Real Madrid fans and their support is very valuable to me, I am very grateful to them. I came to Real Madrid to play and be an important part of this team. And I will not stop fighting until I achieve it.”

The Turk will arrive in Madrid with renewed energy and eager to achieve the objectives he has set himself. “We are ready to fight for the three titles until the end of the season and that is going to be exciting. Madrid always fights to win every game and every title. Personally, my only wish is to play in every game and help my team win every title,” he said in the interview.

Aston Villa enters the scene

In recent weeks there has been talk of Bayern Munich’s interest in the Turkish player, but he would not be the only one of Europe’s big clubs interested. Arda has also caught the eye of another Champions League team: Aston Villa.

The team led by Unai Emery, with the cooperation of Monchi – sporting director – is ready to cast its nets for the attacker. The Turkish international has been relegated to a secondary role at Real Madrid, so he may find a place in Birmingham.

If it is not a way out in the form of signings, Real Madrid and the player could consider a loan in search of minutes that will help him grow and see if in the future he can still succeed wearing white at the Santiago Bernabéu.
