A New Plan Would Cut Social Security for High-Income Retirees – Here’s What It Could Mean

The Real Madrid season has highlighted the lack of planning at the start of the season, where there has been a lack of replacements for players who have left or been injured. There is much talk of a revolution in the Real Madrid squad, but the truth is that Florentino Pérez and the board are not considering such a revolution, and only the strictly necessary signings will be made.

Changes on the bench

One of the most talked-about changes for next season seems to be on the bench. Carlo Ancelotti will not continue at Real Madrid next season, but beware, the end of this season could bring important changes if the Italian manages to achieve a double that now seems impossible. But if everything ends as expected, Xabi Alonso will take over as coach.

Squad revolution

Rumors about possible signings have skyrocketed. Many players seem to be in Real Madrid’s orbit, the most talked about being Jonathan Tah, Dean Hhuijsen, Alexander-Arnold, Miguel Gutiérrez, Florian Wirtz, and Martín Zubimendi. But the fact is that the board will not make any signings until the end of the season, so fans can forget about big changes for next season.

Real Madrid has suffered significant losses in recent years, either due to injury—Carvajal and Militado this season—or because players have left—such as Kroos, Nacho, and Joselu—which has led to a patchwork season that has not been able to solve the problems. There will be reinforcements, that much is certain, but no revolution.

Signings for next season

Real Madrid has already secured the signing of Alexander-Arnold, it is taken for granted in the United Kingdom and only the official confirmation is pending, which will be made as soon as the current season ends. From there, Real Madrid wants tosign a new center back, especially because for next season, there are fears that Alaba or Militao will not be able to perform at the required level, and they do not want to go through the shortcomings experienced this year, where Rudiguer and Asencio have had to play almost everything in this final stretch.

The option of Miguel Gutiérrez is on the table to replace Fran García, but it will not be an easy operation, especially for the Manchego, who, in principle, will stick to his contract. And in midfield, Martin Zubimendi would not be an option, as everything indicates that he will play in the Premier League next season. That does not mean that Real Madrid will not sign a defensive midfielder, but right now it is not a priority.

Confidence in Xabi Alonso

The board believes that Real Madrid’s squad is still very good. The entire squad is very competitive. In this final stretch of the season, despite Real Madrid’s poor year, they have been knocked out of the Champions League by a great rival, and they are in the Copa del Rey final and still in contention to win La Liga. They are confident that, with a few necessary tweaks, Xabi Alonso will be able to give the team a new dynamic and get the most out of a squad that, as of today, is still the reigning European champion.

The arrival of the Tolosa-born coach is seen as a move that could push the team back to the top of football, and they believe that a revolution in the squad could do more harm than good.

Real Madrid will not undergo a revolution at the end of the season. It is obvious that titles (or the lack thereof) will determine Florentino Pérez’s roadmap, but there will be no revolution, just tweaks to strengthen a squad that is still considered very good.
