Barça were crowned King of the Copa del Rey last night at La Cartuja. A goal from Jules Koundé just as the game was heading for penalties gave Hansi Flick’s side a 3-2 win over Real Madrid and their 32nd title. A title that comes with the added bonus of being won against their eternal rivals.

The title celebration was worthy of the achievement, which marks the first step towards the treble. With the joy of a job well done and their minds already on Inter Milan, the players were able to enjoy the victory with their families.

One of the stars of the celebration was Lamine Yamal, who stole the show. He turned his shirt inside out, put on two pairs of sunglasses—one over his new look—and danced a little in front of Lewandowski’s attentive—and paternal—gaze. All this after greeting each Real Madrid player one by one in a nice gesture.

Another nice gesture came from Ferran Torres, who pulled out a shirt in memory of Barcelona’s doctor Miñarro, who passed away just over a month ago. The negative note was left by Gavi, who later picked up a flag that read ‘Antimadridistas’ and celebrated the victory in front of Raúl Asencio, sparking a small scuffle.

The Barça players celebrated the title by all wearing sunglasses. Why? It was part of the show. Wearing sunglasses during celebrations is part of show business culture. The NBA and show business often go hand in hand, and players use all kinds of distinctive items to stand out, including sunglasses.

After leaving the stadium, the Blaugrana delegation headed to their hotel. The first to arrive was Joan Laporta, accompanied by some executives, and later the players arrived, with Olmo carrying the Cup, surrounded by a hundred fans who had come in the early hours of the morning to thank them for the title. Right next to the hotel, in a convention center, a small celebration awaited them alongside their families.
