Real Madrid is reportedly in talks with Stuttgart… but not for Stiller: a new signing could be on the way

The name Angelo Stiller has burst onto the scene at Real Madrid. The German midfielder has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga, and everything suggests that he is still far from reaching his full potential. The board seems increasingly convinced that they want to sign him, but the price tag could be an obstacle to his arrival. Alternatives are being sought to secure his signing, and it seems that a date has already been set for his arrival.

Angelo Stiller and his arrival at Real Madrid

The Whites’ midfield is in need of a player capable of carrying the weight of the team, creating play and bringing balance to a team that has been lacking in that area. Angelo Stiller, a 24-year-old player from Stuttgart, seems to be one of the board’s choices. The new “Kroos,” due to his resemblance to the legendary midfielder, shares qualities with the Real Madrid legend, both in his style of play, his distribution, and his positioning in midfield.

The problem with signing Angelo Stiller is financial. Real Madrid is making several important signings, especially ahead of the Club World Cup, which is costing the club extra money. The German international’s transfer fee would be around €50 million, but the Whites do not want to pay that much for him and there are alternatives that would allow him to leave at a more affordable price.

New date for his signing

Angelo Stiller could be cheaper next summer, in 2026. The player has a clause that allows him to leave for €36 million next summer. Real Madrid will consider it a good move to follow his progress for another year in German football, before making the jump to the club next summer.

However, this move carries a risk. The Whites are not the only club that seems to have set its sights on the German footballer. Several Premier League teams are aware that signing Stiller would be a boost for their squads, and they will try to convince the player to sign with them.

In this regard, Real Madrid has an important advantage: the player’s preference. Angelo Stiller wants to wear the white shirt. The idea of defending Real Madrid’s colors seems to have convinced him. The player wants to follow in the footsteps of Toni Kroos, his idol, and has grown up with the club as his reference point in recent years, so being the linchpin of the capital’s team seems to appeal to him. In principle, he would like to come now, but he would be willing to stay with his current team for another year to fulfill his dream as a soccer player.

Need for a midfielder

But Real Madrid is not taking anything for granted. The deal could be done this year or next summer. The arrival of Xabi Alonso is key to his signing, but the coach has to get to work with his current squad to identify the club’s needs firsthand. On the other hand, the Club World Cup also plays a role: the further the team advances, the more money there will be to spend on signings, and the greater the investment Real Madrid will be able to make.

Although for the moment the club will try to delay the operation until next season, thus saving several million euros, everything could be precipitated and carried out in the coming weeks.
